Trama
La piccola Chiyo, a soli 9 anni e' costretta a lasciare la famiglia e il povero villaggio di pescatori dove e' nata. Venduta ad una scuola per geishe di Kyoto, viene istruita sui riti, le danze, la musica, la cerimonia del te' e l'abbigliamento adatto. Costretta a subire vessazioni e umiliazioni dalle colleghe e soprattutto dalla geisha piu' importante, Hatsumomo.
